Plumbing and Heating industry donates 555,000 to Habitat for Humanity Canada

Members of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating have donated $555,000 to Habitat for Humanity Canada, bringing the total raised by the association since 1994 to $1,689,878. Mike Dennis, President of Moen Inc. and Chairman of the CIPH Charity Committee made the announcement today.

Beginning in 1994, CIPH members have been contributing cash and products to help the charity build homes across Canada for families in need of a hand up.

The current fundraising campaign will be celebrated at a Gala Evening on October 30, 2002 at the Royal York Hotel. This elegant event is expected to attract more than 400 industry leaders - the who's who of the Canadian plumbing and heating industry - and will feature entertainment by world renowned entertainer Michael Burgess.  The evening will also include silent and live auctions, the proceeds of which will be donated to the charity.
